Community at Our Core
As a company created to provide the underserved people of Hawai‘i with better insurance options, our motto of Local Experts Protecting Local People is a true reflection of the strong local values woven throughout our organization. Our culture of helping others began with Island Insurance founder Masayuki Tokioka in 1940 and continues to this day through the dedicated community efforts of our Employees’ Club and the Island Insurance Foundation.
